Mrs Hunsberger was born on the Witmer farm near Preston in 1887, where she lived until 1916. She married Noah Hunsberger, the Mennonite minister, in 1926 and they had four children. On this tape Mrs Hunsberger describes her traditional Mennonite girlhood home.
Mrs Breithaupt was the wife of L.O. Breithaupt, Kitchener mayor, member of Parliament and Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario. In addition to being one of Kitchener's leading citizens, Mrs Breithaupt served in many organizations, including the Y.W.C.A.
Mr Luff is a recent immigrant from Britain. He served in the first World War in France and Greece and worked in the War office from 1919 to his retirement in 1957. He came to Canada in 1979. In this tape he discusses his experiences in World War I.
Mrs Augustine is a member of the Kaufman family, one of Kitchener's best-known families. She discusses her family, including her mother Mary, her brother A.R. and her sister Emma's career in Japan, as well as the family's work with the Y.W.C.A.
Mr Taylor is the historian of Galt and Dumfries and an early curator of Doon Pioneer Village. In this taped television programme, Mr Taylor is interviewed by John English of the University of Waterloo, and discusses his career, Galt and North Dumfries.

Mrs Cowan is the historian of the Mill Creek area near Galt and has contributed to numerous organizations in that area. In this tape Mrs Cowan talks about the local school and women's institute, and her own family.
Mr McLoughry was the Agricultural representative for Waterloo County for almost thirty years and was later an officer at the University of Guelph. On this tape he discusses his education and work, and the founding of the Waterloo Cattle Breeders Association.
Mr Harvie was a well-driller in Waterloo and Brant for many years before his death in 1969 at the age of 95. On this tape he talks about well-drilling and early settlers in the Branchton area. Mrs Peter van Sickle is also heard.
Unveiling of the plaque to Dickson and Shade: On 12 September 1959, the Waterloo Historical Society sponsored an event honouring William Dickson and Absalom Shade, founders of Galt. This tape records the speeches made on that occasion.

Mr Young discusses his experience in World War I in Siberia and his working life at WG & R and Cluett, Peabody where he was Production Manager. He finishes by describing Christmas in his boyhood home.
Colonel Barrie is a member of an old Ayr family. His brothers are heard on OHT 004 and OHT 027. He served with distinction in both world wars and was a partner in the Barrie glove company. On this tape he tells several anecdotes from his varied life.
Colonel Barrie is the youngest of the Barrie brothers, three of who are recorded on these tapes. He previously spoke on OHT 072. He expands considerably on his life story on this tape, speaking of the Barrie family, and his war experiences.
