Transcription
Morris, Edward Gunner. Enlisted with the 111th Battalion, March 20, 1917. He was born at Barrie but was employed at the Canadian Office and School Furniture Company of Preston. He was killed in action November 11, 1917 at the age of twenty-four. He was the son of Robert Morris.

Peacock, Robert Private. Enlisted January 24, 1916 with the 111th Battalion, of South Waterloo. He was transferred to 4th Reserve Battalion then to 18th Battalion then to Base as underage. Presbyterian. Born at Airdrie, Scotland, May 16, 1899. He is living now at 119 Cedar St., Galt. He served three and a half years in the army, two and a half years of which was overseas and sixteen months in France. Alma Winton, Galt, Ontario.

Private James Stanley Percy Tones was born on May 12,1886 in Altrincham, Cheshire, England. He was the husband of Alice Tones. They lived at 61 West Main St., Galt, Ontario. He enlisted on January 11, 1916 in Galt with the 111th Battalion. At the time of enlistment, he was a salesman, married and a member of the Church of England. His regimental service number was 730364. His soldier card indicates that he was employed by the C. Turnbull Company of Galt. Overseas, he served in the 75th Battalion, Canadian Infantry. He was killed in action during the Battle of Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917. He was buried in the Givenchy Road Canadian Cemetery in Neuville-St. Vaast, France.
