Leslie Vernon Hartford is overseas with the 100th Light Anti-aircraft battery. His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Hartford, and their two sons reside in Preston. Leslie Hartford enlisted May 6, 1941. He was born in Preston, April 4, 1913, attended school there and before enlisting he was employed at the Savage Shoe Company in Preston. His religious denomination is Presbyterian. He trained with the H.L.I. of C (RF) before going on active service.
