Leslie V. Hartford (clipping) 12 Feb. 1942 (image) Leslie Vernon Hartford is overseas with the 100th Light Anti-aircraft battery. His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Hartford, and their two sons reside in Preston. Leslie Hartford enlisted May 6, 1941. He was born in Preston, April 4, 1913, attended school there and before enlisting he was employed at the Savage Shoe Company in Preston. His religious denomination is Presbyterian. He trained with the H.L.I. of C (RF) before going on active service.

Transcription
Briscoe, Ross Dickenson Lieutenant. Enlisted early in the war with 29th Highland Light Infantry Battalion and transferred to 101st Fusiliers of Edmonton. He was accidentally killed at Salisbury Plains in January 1915. His father is Mr. R. A. Briscoe, the dry goods merchant of Galt.
