According to the 1901 England census, George Joseph Abbott was the son of Augustus Abbott and Florence Baird. He was born in Plaistow, Essex, England on 20 May 1898.
He married Luella Alfrieda Yanke on 1 November 1922. At the time of his marriage, George lived at 205 Waterloo Street in Kitchener and was a rubber worker. Luella, a factory hand, aged 24, lived at 118 Waterloo Street, Kitchener and was the daughter of Henry Yanke and Anna Graf. The witness to the marriage was Leona Ringle, of 113 Edward Street, Kitchener. Both George and Luella gave their religious denomination as Lutheran.

Ainsworth, Albert Edward

Albert Ernest Ainsworth was born on January 19, 1876 in Barrow-On-Soar, Leicestershire, England. He was married to Elizabeth Wilson of Barrow-On-Soar. They had 3 children born in England: Walter, Ida and Hilda. A fourth child, Beatrice, was born in Ontario in 1908, after their arrival in Canada.
According to the 1911 Census of Canada, Albert and family resided at 33 King Street, Elmira. He worked as a labourer in a felt factory.
According to his obituary in April 2, 1946 edition of the Elmira Signet, Albert died suddenly of a heart attack at the Link Belt Ltd. He was 70 years of age. He had just completed his work for the day when he suffered the attack.
He had been engaged as a shipper at the foundry for 20 years. He attended Wesley United Church and was a member of the Legion, having served in the First Great War with the 118th Battalion for four years.
He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Wilson, whom he married at Leicester, England, in December, 1900, three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Hilda) Evans and Mrs. Clifford (Ida) Vines, Elmira, and Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Simons, Ajax, Ont., five grandchildren, one brother, John, and one foster brother, Herbert, both of Elmira and one sister in England.
One son, Walter, died in infancy and one brother, Walter, and one foster sister, Mrs. Harold Engler, also predeceased him. The remains rested at the home from 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon until Monday morning when removal was made to the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel, following a private service at 10:30 a.m.
The Link-Belt Foundry was closed on that day and his fellow employees attended the service in a body. Also present were members of the Legion, commemorating the fact that he was a veteran of the First Great War. Poppies were placed on the casket by members of the Poppy Association. Interment was made in the Elmira Cemetery.

He enlisted in Berlin, Ontario on October 15, 1915 and served with the 118th Battalion. His occupation was listed as quarry worker. He served in Canada and was discharged from military service on March 6, 1919.
He was married to Grace Ann Hughes.
John Ainsworth died in 1961 and is buried in the Elmira Union Cemetery.

Ernest Akitt was born on November 23, 1898 in Melancthon Township, Dufferin County, Ontario. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Akitt of Creemore, Ontario.
He enlisted in Kitchener on May 11, 1916 and noted his address as 11 Eby Street, Berlin, Ontario and occupation as bank clerk. He served with the 118th Battalion.
Ernest was discharged from service in May 1919.

While there is more consideration for the lifelong needs of veterans as the public better understands post-traumatic stress disorder and other after effects of combat, Wellheiser said the greatest help he's received came from a fellow veteran, Louis J. Enlisted November 1914 with 108th Reg. C.M. under Lt. Col Bowman. Transferred to 118th Battalion, later to 241st Windsor Scottish Borderers.
Baptist.
Born July 25, 1890 and was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Albright, 83 King St., West. Kitchener, Ontario. He was married and has one child.
In October 1915, he went to London and qualified as lieutenant and it was with 241st Windsor Scottish Borderers that he obtained his captaincy. Left Windsor for overseas April 24, 1917 attached to 48th Highlanders. In March 1918 he was invalided to Italy with trench fever and shell-shock, returning to his battalion in May. He fell at Amiens August 8, 1918 and is buried at Crovy on the River Somme.
Allemang, Alba
Corporal.
Alba Allemang was born April 10, 1890 in Bloomingdale, Ontario. He was the son of Christian Allemang and Barbara Shantz.
He enlisted with the 71st Battalion in Berlin, Ontario on September 1, 1915 and later transferred to the 118th Battalion. He also served in the 256th Railway Construction Battalion. Allemang served in France and was discharged on March 26, 1919.
Allemang married Mary Ellen Stuart on September 8, 1920 in Kitchener, Ontario. At the time of his marriage, Alba was a rubber worker. They raised two sons, Stuart and Raymond.
Alba Allemang died on June 1, 1954 at the age of 64. He is buried at Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery, Kitchener, Ontario.

Harvey Mussleman Allemang was born 10 Dec 1895 in Conestogo, on the 3rd of Nov 1924 in Haldimand Co he married Ivy Elizabeth Esther Duffin. Both are buried in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo Region, Ontario.

He was born on June 4, 1895 in Toronto, Ontario. He was the son of Albert and Catherine Allin who resided at 617 Logan Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
At the time of his enlistment he was not married and his occupation was a farmer. He listed his religion as Church of England.
He was diagnosed with pneumonia on December 14, 1916 and was subsequently discharged on December 22, 1916.
