The Galt Knitting Company was founded in 1881 by Adam Warnock. The company manufactured a large variety of knitted underwear, eiderdowns shoe linings and knitted specialties. Known as Tiger Brand Knitting Company since 1954, the company manufactured a wide range of fashion sportswear until its closure in 2005.
This drawing appeared in the book "Picturesque and Industrial Galt" published by Jaffray Bros., in 1902.
