He won the Military Medal and is in the Military Hospital, London. He was one of the boys of the Coombe Home Hespeler, Ontario.

He won a Military Medal at Amiens, France while rushing a machine gun front. He came through without a scratch and was not sick a day. He arrived in Hespeler, May 21, 1919.
