He was assisting in carpenter work in aerodromes in England until armistice. Now making packing cases for shipping parts of machines.
He was not called to fight.
His father, Georgr D. Dahmer, lives in Conestoga, Ontario.

Private William Gerbig was born on September 24th, 1898 in Conestoga, Ontario. He resided at 119 St. George Street in Kitchener, Ontario. His parents were Henry D. and Elizabeth Gerbig.
William enlisted on December 8, 1915. He was a student at the time. After the war, he married Anna Merrick in Uxbridge. They were married on December 30, 1924. He was Presbyterian.

Pte. Ernest, youngest son of Mrs. Jonas, who arrived home from overseas last week, has signed for service in the Pacific.
Pte. Jonas enlisted at the age of 17 1/2 years and was overseas for 3 1/2 years. He served in Sicily, Italy and Holland.
He is now on a 30-day leave after which he will report for rurther training for service in the east.
A brother, Charles, is serving overseas.
