Ainsworth, John F. Private. John Ainsworth was born November 24, 1880 in Barrow-On-Soar, Leicestershire, England. After immigrating to Canada, he lived in Elmira, Ontario. He enlisted in Berlin, Ontario on October 15, 1915 and served with the 118th Battalion. His occupation was listed as quarry worker. He served in Canada and was discharged from military service on March 6, 1919. He was married to Grace Ann Hughes. John Ainsworth died in 1961 and is buried in the Elmira Union Cemetery.
