Charles A. Allan was born 8 Apr 1899 in Carleton Place, Lanark Co., Ontario WW1 Attestation Papers By 1922 he was an electrician working in Ontario when he visited his father James Clarence Allan in Clarence Center, New York. Border Crossings from Canada to U.S. 1895-1956 - Ancestry.com His mother was Laura Adele Thompson going by her middle name. Charles by 1930 was living with his parents in Clarence, New York where he was employed as an electrician. Allan, Charles. A. Private. Enlisted at Galt March 29, 1916 with the 111th Battalion. He was born in Canada and his next of kin is Mrs. Adell Allan, Baden, Ontario. He attended the Kitchener and Waterloo Collegiate Institute from 1913 to 1916. Presbyterian. Since his return his address is 23 Grantham Ave., Galt.
