Brown, Ernest Frederick Private. Enlisted June 14, 1916 with 216th Battalion. Transferred to 3rd Reserve to Canadian Forestry Corps, 74th Company. Protestant. Born January 27, 1876 in Leighton, Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England and educated there. Married to Mary Ann King. He was discharged March 1, 1919 after having been in uniform for two years and nine months, one year and ten mos. of which was spent overseas. He has returned to Preston. Louise Brooks, Wellington St., Preston.

McConnell, John Francis Private. Enlisted March 18, 1916 with 111th Battalion of South Waterloo. Presbyterian. Born September 18, 1893 in Garafaxa and educated there. Married to Alice Kilborn. He died of gunshot wounds after serving two years, one of which was spent overseas. Died April 29, 1917. His widow is in England. Mrs. Alice McConnell, 42 Warwick Terr., Warrick Rd., Batley, England. Preston was his Canadian home. Louise Brooks, Wellington St., Preston, Ontario
