Aitchison, Edward FLT. LIEUT. E.G. AITCHISON April 5, 1945 ELORA, April 5.-- Word has been received here by Mr. Mrs. Jack Aitchison that their son, Flt. Lieut. Edward Aitchison, is missing following an air operation over enemy territory on March 31. A fighter plane pilot, he was on leave last year following a tour of operations in the eastern theatre of war. He has been on active service for more than three years.

Burnett, William [clipping]Kitchener Daily Record, 12 Sept 1945 CAPT. WILLIAM BURNETT By Record Correspondent ELORA, Sept 12. - W.A. Burnett, who lives at his farm home on the Alma Road, received a telegram Saturday that his son, Capt. William Burnett, Protestant chaplain with the Chaplains' Division in Italy, had been badly wounded during the week. Capt. Burnett has been overseas several years. He is a young married man and was formerly United Church minister at Mathison and other points in Northern Ontario before going overseas.

Chandler, Edwin Signalman [clipping] 19 Oct, 1944 Mrs. Edwin Chandler, Elora, received a letter from her husband, Signalman Edwin R. Chandler the past week stating that he was badly wounded in the face three months ago in France and has been confined to hospital in England since. For the past thre months no word whatsoever had been received from Signalman Chandler, and this letter was the first report to reach his wife and reletives.
