Sergeant Arthur Atkin (Regimental/Service #751257), enlisted on December 30, 1915 in Berlin, Ontario with the 118th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He was born in Bury, Lancashire, England on November 16, 1885. At the time of his enlistment, he was not married and he worked as a courrier. He resided at 6 Oak Street in Berlin, and listed his next of kin as Frank Atkin (father) of 1 School Street Wigam, Lancashire, England. He was transferred to the #1 Special Service Company Battalion on 1/9/17. He listed his religion as Church of England.
