ARTHUR BARRADELL [clipping] Aug 29, 1940 [image] Private Arthur Barradell was born in Leicestershire, Eng., Dec. 3, 1915. He attended Dickson School in Galt, and was employed here as a truck driver, prior to his enlistment June 23 with the H. L .I. of C. He is now attached to H.Q. company . His wife, Mrs. A. Barradell and their one daughter are living at 166 Shade street, Galt. Pte. Barradell’s father and nine uncles served in the Great War. He attends the Baptist church.

Dallow, Ed. W. [clipping] Galt 17 Aug 1940 Ed. W. Dallow [image] Private Edward W. Dallow was assigned to H.Q. company after enlisting on June 23 with the H.L.I. of C. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, May 31, 1915, and attended Longbranch school at Toronto. He was employed as a driver at St. George before enlisting. His father, E.H. Dallow, is now living in Hamilton. Pte. Dallow's religion is Anglican.

Elliott, Ralph R. [clipping] September 3, 1940 [image]Ralph Elliott [image]Robert Elliott The H.L.I. of C. has twin brothers in the ranks, namely: Ralph Rigsby Elliott and Robert George Elliott, both natives of Galt. They enlisted in June within a day of each other and they are both in Headquarters Co'y. The twins attended school in Galt, but before enlisting Ralph was working in Preston as a welder and Robert was working in Galt as a weaver. They are married, and Ralph's wife resides in Preston at 148 Wellington St., Robert's wife is living in Galt at 3 Imperial Lane. They had an uncle on active serivce in the last great war. Ralph's religion is Roman Catholic and Robert is Baptist by religion.

Ganffy [clipping] 24 Aug 1940 James Ganffy [image] Private James Ganffy is Hungarian by birth. He was born on Feb. 15th, 1901, and enlisted with the H.L.I. of C. on June 20th. He is now attached to H.Q. Company. Pte. Ganffy’s next of kin is a brother-in-law in Calgary. He was working as a farmhand in the Galt district up until the time of his enlistment. His religion is Presbyterian.

He attended St. Mary’s school in Galt and worked in a local shoe factory. He was assigned to H.Q. company H.L.I. of C. after enlisting in June. His brother, “Dode” McPhee is now overseas. Pte. McPhee is Roman Catholic by religion.
