Brittenden, Fred [clipping] Dec 1940 Fred Brittenden Pte. Fred Brittenden, of Preston, is with the 12th Canadian Provost Corps at Toronto. Previous to enlisting on Sept. 25, 1940, he was on the maintenance staff of the Pattinson Woollen Mill, Preston. He was a member of the Preston police staff for several years. During the last war he saw active service with the 13th Battery Canadian Field Artillery and was wounded twice. He was born at Kent, Eng., Nove. 6, 1894. Pte. Brittenden is a member of St. John's Anglican church. He has lived in Preston since August 1929. He and his wife are the parents of seven children. [image]
