Pte. Charles Bernard Eichler is on active service with the Perth Regiment, M.G. He enlisted July 3, 1940. Pte. Eichler is a native of New Hamburg, Ont. and received his schooling there. Before enlisting he was working for the Hecker H.O. Co. at Ayr. His wife and three children are residing in Preston. His religion is Lutheran. Pte. Eichler has 4 cousins on active service. One is in the Imperial Army, two are in the H.L.I of C. and one is with the 11th Field Ambulance.
