Three newspaper clippings, two with the same photo.
Ronald Alan Erison enlisted with the Highland Light Infantry of Canada on June 3, 1940. He was born in Galt on Sept 7, 1920 and was three years with the local unit before going on active service. He was a machinist by occupation. His father served in the 75th Battalion in the last ward.

Pte. Ronald Alan Erison, 24, has been wounded in action. The date, nature and extent of wounds is not yet available according to a telegram received by the soldier's father, Arthur Erison, 30 Ainslie Street north. Pte. Erison was serving on the Western front with the H.L.I of C. He and his brother Arthur, age 26, were among the first to enlist when the 1st Bn. H.L.I of C. was mobilized in 1940. Arthur is now serving on the western front with an armoured brigade.
