Overseas Last Fall
Pte. Lorne Daniel (Danny) Girling's sister, Miss Isabel Girling, 53 Dunham Ave., has been informed that her brother has been officially reported severely wounded in action. The date and nature of the wounds are not yet available.
Born in Owen Sound, the infantryman came to Kitchener with his parents at an early age. Before enlisting several years ago he was employed at Galloway Furniture Company and Anthes-Baetz Furniture Company, working for the later firm at the time of his enlistment. He went overseas last fall (July 14, 1944) with the H.L.I.
Two sisters and a brother reside in Thornbury, and a sister and brother live in Owen Sound.
