Gunner Charles Grimwood of Preston enlisted June 4, 1940, with the 16th-43rd Battery at Guelph. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gemwood, 152 Francis street, Preston. He was born in Preston on Dec. 29, 1919, and received his education in Preston. Before enlisting he was em0loyed at the Savage Shoe Co. He is now stationed near the Atlantic coast. Two uncles served in the last war. His religion is Anglican.
