Robert Henry Hoffman enlisted with the R.C.R. at London, Ont., Sept. 14, 1939, and is now in England with his regiment. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoffman, 965 Duke street, Preston. Pte. Hoffman was born in Kitchener, Oct. 1, 1918, but moved to Preston at an early age, receiving his education at a Preston school. He was employed by Eastern Steel Products before enlisting. Pte. Hoffman was in the H.L.I. of C. for four years before joining his present regiment. One uncle served in the Great War. His religion is Anglican. (Regimental No. A-3061).
