W.A. Hopkins
Gunner W.A. Hopkins is on active service with the Royal Canadian Artillery. His wife and son reside at 20 Brant Place, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hopkins, live on Manitoulin Island. Gunner Hopkins was born at Mindenoya on Manitoulin Island. Before enlisting, he was employed at the Stauffer - Dobbie plant. He enlisted with the artillery June 4, 1941. In civilian life he was a miner and lived in Timmins before coming to Galt. Gunner Hopkins first enlisted with the infantry. He was given an honorable discharge and then started all over again and listed in the artillery.
He attends the United Church .
