JAS. F. McGRATH
Private James Francis McGrath was born in Preston on April 27, 1921. He attended the Preston separate school. Prior to his enlisting June 18 with the 1st Battalion he was employed as a shoemaker. He is now with D Company. His mother, Mrs. Mary McGrath lives at 398 Hespeler St., Preston. Both Pte. McGrath's father and uncle served in the Great War. His religion is Roman Catholic.

PRESTON, Oct 12. - Pte. J.F. McGrath, reported wounded in action for a second time, received a bomb fragment wound in the left thumb, his mother has been officially advised. Mrs. H. McCurdy has also learned that wounds sustained by her husband, Pte. Harvey Thompson McCurdy, are shell fragment wounds of left armpit and left gluteal region.
