This home was built circa 1860 by Mr. Bowman to provide a residence for the millwright of the New Dundee Flour Mill. Later, it became the residence of the village doctor. In 1964, the house was occupied by the L. Brighton family.
A similar photograph appears on page 35 of the 1964 Waterloo Historical Society annual volume. F.W.R. Dickson is credited as the photographer of the image.
