Black and white photograph of King Street, Berlin, Ontario, on the evening of 11 October 1910, which was date of the official turning on ceremony for the arrival of Niagara hydroelectric power in town. The street is lit by strings of electric light bulbs. The illuminated "Hydro Power" sign, celebrating the arrival of hydroelectricity, can be seen in the distance. Street car tracks can be seen down the middle of the road.
It is believed that this photograph was taken on 11 October 1910. It was originally part of a display with a caption that read "Official turning on of hydro power, Berlin, October 11, 1910".
