Albiston, Alfred William
Alfred was born 27 October 1895 in County Staffordshire, England. At the age of 15, he was living in Birmingham, England and was employed as a cabinet makers improver.
He arrived in Saint John, New Brunswick on 14 January 1920. He pursued the occupation of carpenter.
The Soldier Card indicates that Private Albiston enlisted at Preston, ON and did not get overseas. No records of attestion or service have been located.
Alfred married Stella Sauder of Preston, Ontario on 1 July 1924 in Galt, Ontario. At this time he was living in Royal Oak, Michigan, which was their home for the rest of their lives. Alfred and Stella had two children.
Alfred became a United States Citizen on 21 February 1933. He died 15 January 1990 in Madison Heights, Oakland, Michigan, USA.
