Major.
He left Galt as a Lieutenant with the 34th Battalion and was later promoted to Major.
He received the Military Cross and also the Distinguished Service Order at Vimy Ridge.
He went to France with a special draft in the fall of 1915.
He had previously been an accountant at the Galt Branch of the Imperial Bank.
He was twice wounded, once at Vimy Ridge.
