He was an officer of the 29th Regiment Highland Light Infantry of Canada and enlisted with 111th Battalion as Captain and adjutant.
He was a staff officer in England and went to France as a Lieutenant.
His mother lives in Vancouver, B.C. and his sister teaches in the Collegiate Institute of Kitchener, Ontario.
He enlisted with the 111th Battalion May 22, 1916 at Galt.
