He enlisted with 120th Battalion of Hamilton and went overseas in July 1917.
As he was considered too old for the firing line, he was sent to the 3rd Labor Battalion.
He was born at Galt October, 16, 1873 and educated at the Victoria and Duckson Schools and at The Galt Collegiate Institute.
He is the second son of the late David Gibb and Mrs. Gibb, Park Avenue, Galt.
He is married and his widow lives at 361 Cumberland St., Hamilton, Ontario.
He was killed in action August 1, 1917.
