Enlisted September 1, 1915 with 71st Battalion and was transferred to 118th Battalion on November 27, 1915.
Anglican.
Born at Detroit, November 8, 1890. Educated at Toronto Public School and Collegiate Institute.
He was married to Grace Ellis and has two sons.
He was discharged at London, January 22, 1919 and lives at 56 Weber Street West, Kitchener.
Was Sergeant in 71st Battalion, promoted to Company Sergeant Major in 118th Battalion until arrival in England, then appointed Sergeant Instructor of Musketry at Bramshott Camp.
Reverted to ranks at his own request to go to France where he saw active service with 1st Battalion until wounded in right hand August 30, 1918 at Battle of Cambrai.
He was overseas two years.
