A white index card containing the name, rank and military history of a soldier of Waterloo County. Card also includes a photograph, red star, red slash and red cross.
Lieutenant Robert Murray McChesney (also noted as McCheyne) Gray served with the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment), 46th Battalion, and was buried in the Duisans British Cemetery in Etrun, France.

Gray, Robery Murray McChesney
Lieutenant.
Son of Mr. George B. Gray, 31 Chisholm St. Galt, Ontario.
Died of gun shot wounds in his head, chest and left thigh at the 4th Clearing Station on September 30, 1918.
He was educated at the Central School, Galt and at the Galt Collegiate Institute. He was a drug clerk in the White Drug Store, Galt when he enlisted with the 78th Battalion.
Presbyterian.
He won the Military Cross.
