Private.
Enlisted at Kitchener with 118th Battalion on April 5, 1916.
He went to England in January 1917 going to the 25th Reserve Battalion. In February 1918 he transferred to 4th Reserve Battalion. He went to France in March 1918 and joined the 49th Battalion of Edmonton. He was with this Battalion until his return to Canada in 1919 (March).
He took part in the Battles of Amiens, Arras, Cambrai and Mons. He was never wounded but he spent a short time in hospital suffering with influenza.
His home is in Elmira, Ontario.
