Private.
Enlisted October 15, 1915 with 118th Battalion of North Waterloo and left for England the following January.
Born at Bloomingdale, June 24, 1893; lived at Kitchener for a number of years.
He had been in France only a short time when he was killed in action September 12, 1918 by shrapnel during the Drucourt-Queant drive.
He is buried in the British Military Cemetery at Vis-en-Artois, Grave 19, Plot 2, Row B.
His widow, Mrs. Mynella Hummell, lives in Preston.
Mrs. Ward Roedding of Kitchener is his sister.
