Sergeant.
Enlisted December 14, 1915 with 111th South Waterloo Battalion and transferred to 1st Canadian Battalion.
Roman Catholic.
Born at Hespeler, September 27, 1882 and educated at Hespeler Public School.
Went overseas in September 1916, instructed in Musketry and Bayonet fighting in England until April 27, 1917.
Reverted to ranks to get to France.
Won his stripes back on the field.
Was wounded once but rejoined his unit the same day and served with his unit till the end of the war.
Crossed the Rhine December 14, 1918 and returned to England March 28, 1919.
He has not yet returned to Canada.
His next of kin is Thomas McMaster, Box 69, Hespeler, Ontario.
