McKay, Evelyn Verrall
Nursing Sister.
Died on November 4, 1918 at the Base Hospital, Boulogne of pleuro pneumonia.
She was born in Galt 26 years ago and is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark S. McKay.
She was educated at the Public School and Collegiate Institute of Galt and at MacDonald Hall, Guelph.
She graduated from Grace Hospital Toronto and in 1915 enlisted in the Army Medical Service.
She served one year in the Base Hospital and Exhibition Camp in Toronto and went overseas in 1916.
She remained six months in England and was there until her death at No.3 Canadian General Hospital.
Her parents are living temporarily in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Mrs. Lang Gourlay and Mrs. Dakin of Galt are sisters while Lieutenant M.H.McKay M.C. is a brother.
