Marty, Ivan Bernard
Private.
Son of Dr. Marty of New Hamburg. Born in Wilmot Township, Waterloo County.
He enlisted at Preston at the age of twenty with 111th Battalion on May 12, 1916 and went to France in 1917.
He transferred from 111th Battalion to 35th Black Watch 75th Battalion.
Lutheran.
Born April 12, 1897 at New Hamburg. He received his Junior Matriculation at New Hamburg. He entered the School of Medicine at Toronto in September 1915. Enlisted May 13, 1916 at Preston. While doing duty as a stretcher-bearer on April 4, 1917 he recieved three shrapnel wounds. He died April 6, 1917 at Vimy Ridge
He also served at the Battle of Ancre, March 2, 1917.
