Robert William Roberts was born in Bradford, England on March 16th, 1885. During his military service he was part of the 34th Battalion, the 13th Battalion and the 3rd Brigade Machine Gun Section. He was killed in action on September 4th, 1916 and is buried at the Vimy Memorial in Pas de Calais, France. His widow Edith, later married Thomas Alfred Sherriff. He was Anglican.

He was born in England and his next of kin is Mrs. R. W. Roberts, Hewitt Street, Preston, Ontario.
His widow is now Mrs. T. A. Sherriff.
