Enlisted March 1916 with 118th Battalion B. Company Section 5.
Transferred to Canadian Training School as instructor at Bexhill, Sussex, England.
Methodist.
Born May 27, 1898 at Conestoga. Educated at Kitchener Collegiate Institute.
He went overseas January 1917 and to France March 1917. Was in trenches four months then spent five or six months in hospital in France and England.
Was instructor in Canadian Instruction Pool Canadian Training School until armistice and is now in the demobilization service.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schinbein, live in Conestoga.
