Enlisted March 1915 with the Machine Gun Section of the 5th Battalion and transferred to 94th Battalion in England.
Lutheran.
Born at North Easthope, Perth, Ontario on January 5, 1884 and educated there. He was unmarried.
He was killed in action December 5, 1916 at Villiers-en-Bois, France. He was struck by a shell in the abdomen.
Mrs. Clara Spahr, New Hamburg, is his mother.
