Private.
Private H. Lester Wing, son of Rev. M.L. Wing, St. Jacobs, enlisted at Kitchener March 20th, 1916 in the 118th Battalion.
He trained in London and left for overseas January 23rd 1917 on the S.S. Scandinavian, landing at Liverpool February 6th 1917.
He trained at Bramshott and crossed to France March 1st 1918 just in time for the big Hun drive.
He saw active service along the Belgium frotier and marched to Cologne with the army of occupation.
He returned to England April 10th 1919 and received his discharge May the 24th 1919.
