Private Thomas Arthur Cassady was born on August 27, 1890 in Blenheim Township, Oxford County, Ontario. His parents were David Cassady and Mary A. Burrows. He was a Methodist and was a tinsmith by trade.
Thomas joined the 38th Battalion in Paris, Ontario on April 19, 1916. He was a member of the Canadian Infantry - Eastern Ontario Regiment.
He was killed in action on May 28, 1918. Thomas was buried at Lapugnoy Military Cemetery in Pas de Calais, France, plot IX.E.2.
