Captain George Eric Chapman was born 3 August 1880 at London, Ontario. Eric was the second youngest child of Dorothe Abeline Brunstead and Charles Chapman. The family resided in London, Ontario until early 1901.
In 1905 Eric became an Associate Coroner for the County of Lambton, Ontario. In 1907 while living in Wilkesport, Ontario, Eric, a Physician, married Gertrude Acey Stokes. By 1911 they lived in Sombra, Ontario, but he worked in Detroit, Michigan as a Physician.
While at 125 Frederick Street, Kitchener, he enlisted on 9 Oct 1917 in London, Ontario. He was a surgeon with the C.A.M.C., TD No. 1, Regimental number 730292. Eric formerly served with the A.M.C. from 1901-1902. He was a Methodist and next of kin was wife Gertrude.
By 1920 Eric had immigrated to San Francisco, California becoming a U.S. citizen in 1934. In the early 1920's he married Blanche Teresa Lothrop. They had a daughter and two sons. From 1930-1940 he resided at 1300 Holloway Ave, San Francisco. In 1940 his office was at 450 Sutter Street, San Francisco. By 1957 he had retired and spent time at his cottage in Cobb, Lake County, California. Eric died 11 February 1969 at Santa Rosa, California.
