Bastedo, Roy Edward Private. Regimental number 730735 Roy was born September 6th 1894 in Malahide, Elgin, Ontario; son of Lewis and Ina (nee Teeple). He was working for the R. Forbes CO. Ltd in Hespeler, Ontario when he enlisted on April 7, 1916. In February 1928, he moved to the USA and worked as a steeplejack. He died in 1947 and is buried in the Aylmer (Ontario) Cemetery.
