Coloured postcard of King Street East, Berlin, Ontario, looking west.
The following businesses are visible:
On left: Grand Central Hotel, 53-57 King Street East; Post Office, 47 King Street East; J.H. Schmidt Drugs, 33 King Street East, W.A. Starnaman, picture framers, 31 King Street East.
On right: Canadian Bank of Commerce, 48 King Street East; A. Weseloh & Co., dry goods, 42 King Street East.
Inscription mistakenly indicates King St. West; the street is actually King Street East with a view to the west.
Date range - c1912-1916 - is based on the 1st appearance of A. Weseloh & Co. in 1912 business directory and name change of Berlin to Kitchener in 1916.
This postcard is in good condition. The postcard was glued onto black scrapbook paper which has adhered to the reverse side (therefore, publication information is unavailable). There is scotch tape residue across the right top and bottom corners.
