Harold Addis
Galt
Pte. Harold Addis, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Addis, 105 Cedar street, is overseas with a Western Ontario regiment. He enlisted in January, 1941. Pte. Addis was born in Preston on Nov. 15, 1922 and received schooling at Preston public school and the Galt Collegiate. Before enlisting he was employed at the Scott Shoe Co. plant. An uncle, Pte. John Hughes, was killed in action in the First Great War. Pte. Addis' religious denomination is Anglican. He was active in Scouting for a number of years in Galt and was a leader for one the local troops.
