History / Biographical
Born in Saskatchewan in 1925, Mr. Dalgarno was sent to the Brantford School for the Blind at the age of 12. He came to Kitchener in 1946 working for BF Goodrich, then for Waterloo Metal Stamping. He talks about changes and development in education and opportunities for the blind as well as activities for the blind in Waterloo Region. He received an award for Canada's 125th Anniversary for his work on the Canadian Counsel of the Blind.
