Pte. Archie M. Ballantyne, a native of Scotland, is right at home in the 1st Btn., Highland regiment. He enlisted on June 25, 1940. Previous to going on acative service he was employed at Sheldon's Ltd.
Pte. Ballantyne received his schooling at Johnstone, Scotland. His wife and son live in Galt at 69 1/2 Water St. S. Two brothers and several uncles served in the last war. He had been with the regiment 13 years when it was called. A brother, Charles, is on the permanent staff of the 2nd Btn., H.L.I. of C., as staff sergeant.
