P.O. ARTHUR BOND
PO. Arthur Thomas Bond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Bond, 35 Church St., Waterloo, has been officially released from a German prisoner of war camp after six long, dreary months of internment. He was first listed missing on Nov. 24, 1944.
The airman, a bomber pilot, originally enlisted in the R.C.A.F. in 1940, was later discharged and again enlisted in 1942 when he was able to meet physical requirements. A native of Kitchener, he attended K-W Collegiate and was formerly secretary-treasurer of the K-W Airport.
