Notification of the wounding of Pte. Ross Dickson, 22, on March 9, in Holland, was received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dickson, 36 Shanley St. Serving with an infantry corps Pte. Dickson had not been in the army ten months before being wounded.
He had trained at Ipperwash and Chatham after enlisting last May and went overseas three months ago. A former student of K-W Collegiate Institute he was employed by the Gies Foundry Ltd. before enlistment.
Two brothers, Gerald, overseas, and Elgin stationed at Centralia, are with the R.C.A.F.
