The Berlin Public Library was opened on 8 January 1904. It was located on Queen Street North, at the intersection of Queen and Weber Streets. The building of the library was funded by a Carnegie Corporation grant. The Berlin Public Library became the Kitchener Public Library in 1916. The Carnegie building as replaced by a new library building, located at 85 Queen Street North, Kitchener in 1962.
