Brubacher, Eli
Private.
Eli Brubacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Auson Brubacher, St. Jacobs, enlisted at the age of 18 for the Navy at 103 Bay St., Toronto, December. 6th 1916 and left for overseas on H.M.S. Laurentine January 8, 1917. He entered the Auxillary Service and did two years valiant service on board several vessels, with head-quarters at Glasgow, Penzance, Scilly Isles, Plymouth and Devonport.
He returned to St. John N.B. on the S.S. Minnedosa January 30, 1919 and received his discharge March 1, 1919 and entered the service of the C.P.R.S.S.Co. as Wheelman on the S.S. Manitoba in April 1919 plying between Port McNicoll and Fort William.
